Being a sitter is awesome because you get to see the world through kids' eyes, which is endlessly entertaining and heartwarming. I've watched kids of all ages, from newborns to pre-teens. I've handled everything from diaper changes and meal prep to homework help and bedtime stories. Babysitting my siblings growing up definitely had its moments, from the chaotic pillow fights to the surprisingly deep conversations. Then, getting to babysit my niece as she grew up was a whole different kind of special—seeing the world through her eyes and being a part of her little adventures was pretty amazing. It's wild to think how much those experiences shaped me. I'm CPR and first aid certified, and I've taken courses in child development and safety. I'm also pretty good at improvising games and activities to keep kids engaged and happy!
