Hi! :) My name is Lauren. I’m 30-years-old and I have been caring for children for the majority of my life. At age 8, I became a big sister. Three years later, I had 4 younger siblings who I helped raise. By 15, I was babysitting whenever I got the chance. I soon became a camp counselor and swim instructor. Most recently, I have babysat and nannied for multiple families who are able to provide references, and I have become a school counselor. I have worked in elementary and middle school settings, both in general education and special education. I have reliable transportation and also have 6 years experience pet sitting. Lauren came over to watch our 20 month old on short notice so we could get some work done in the yard, and she was such a lifesaver! We have never had a babysitter our son wasn’t already familiar with, so we were nervous about how he would handle it. He was comfortable with her pretty quickly! It was more challenging for her because we were still outside, and out son knew we were there. He’s incredibly opinionated and determined, but she was able to handle/redirect him away from us without him throwing a toddler fit. By the end of the afternoon, he kind of panicked a little bit when she left, but then stood in the driveway waving and saying “bye Lauren!!” with a big smile on his face. I think he had a lot of fun playing with her!
