I am a sophomore in college seeking to change my major from Marketing to Early Childhood Education. As I have continued to explore my interests and future career goals, I have realized that my true passion is working with children and helping them learn, grow, and develop. I have been babysitting since I was ten years old, caring for children of various ages, and as the oldest of seven grandchildren, I have naturally taken on a nurturing and responsible role within my family, and even outside of it. These experiences have taught me the importance of patience, attentiveness, communication, and understanding each child as an individual. I have learned to recognize children's behaviors, reactions, boundaries, and routines and to adjust how I interact with them based on their individual needs. I enjoy helping children discover new things, build confidence, and experience the joy that comes with learning. Changing my major to Early Childhood Education represents more than simply choosing a different academic path. It is an opportunity for me to pursue a career that aligns with my natural strengths, interests, and passion for children. I look forward to gaining the education, training, and classroom experience necessary to become an effective educator who creates a nurturing learning environment and makes a meaningful difference in the lives of children!
