Hello! My name is Citlaly Padilla. I have 2 years of experience working with children ages 4-11. I speak fluent English and Spanish. I am a child development major at the JC in Napa. I have been babysitting my 7 year old sister and my 6 year old cousin on my own since I was 14. I started my working experience as a youth leader at a Boys and Girls Club. After a year, I moved onto becoming an Instructor for elementary students. I taught them STEM with an emphasis in engineering using Lego. Then, I became a behavior interventionist. This gave me experience working with children on the autism spectrum. My strengths are in safety, supervision, homework help, and leading creative and fun activities. I am CPR and first aid certified. I have gone through various and long training sessions on supervision, safety, behavior, and emotional and mental health/support. Read more I am currently employed as an on call sitter with a different company but I am looking for more job opportunities. I often times take my sister to school as well as pick her up. When I do, I supervise, feed, and help her with homework until one of my parents get home. My sister (7), cousin (6), and I have a close bond. Whenever I get the chance, I drive both of them to do something fun! We always start off at the park! I am not the type of person to sit down and supervise from a bench. I have always enjoyed running around and playing with kids. This is also the best way to supervise and offer immediate help/first aid if needed. If they get bored I suggest games such as grandma tag (walking tag) and long jump challenge. As well as make believe games such as ice cream store and spies. After the park, we get food and talk about school, afterschool activities, recap of the fun day we had, and other kid related topics. I enjoy working with kids because I never get bored. Everyday is a new opportunity to learn from them!
