Hi, my name is Ava! I'm a Junior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Miami University, and I'm home in Nashville for the summer and so excited to spend it with some great families. I'm available to babysit or nanny through the end of August with completely flexible availability — evenings, weekends, and overnights are all totally fine with me! I've helped raise my little brother since he was born in 2020, so I have over six years of real, everyday experience caring for young children. I'm both CPR and First Aid certified and food safety certified, and I've logged over 400 hours of hospital volunteer work since high school, even helping train other volunteers along the way. The staff there have always been incredibly kind about my work, and I bring that same dedication and care to everything I do. I’ve also been accepted into the Teach Read more for America Fall 2026 cohort which, along with my extensive time in Girl Scouts, has deepened my passion for working with and supporting kids. I also had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in Japan this past summer, so I'm conversational in Japanese too, which is always a fun thing to share with curious kids! I'm an animal lover comfortable with all kinds of pets — reptiles, rodents, spiders, you name it. I have two cats and a dog myself and will be living with a snake and a few frogs with my roommate this fall! I have my own car with a clean driving record and a dashcam, and I'm happy to help with any chores around the house. My rates start at $20/hour for babysitting and $22/hour for regular nanny arrangements, with a small additional charge per extra child, but I'm always happy to work with families to find something that fits their budget!
