Hi parents! My name is Destiny, and I am 22 yrs old. When I can, I love to cook and bake. I also love to listen to music and dance. I have five years experience of working in EEC certified programs. I recently left a daycare after working there for almost three years, and before I left I was an EEC certified teacher for preschool. I floated around before that and spent about equal time with all of the age groups the center has (3 months to 5 years old). The other two years was through my work-study with Jumpstart. I love reading aloud to kids, and have been taught by Jumpstart to do so in a way that promotes early literacy. I also learned what activities could help make reading more fun and engaging. Even though I don’t have a car, I have relied on the MBTA all my Read more life, having used it to commute since I was little. I’ve lived in and around Boston, and know of almost all the free and affordable activities to plan fun outings around on nice days. I can speak/comprehend Spanish at an intermediate level, so naturally I have a bunch of catchy songs to sing in both English and Spanish. Looking forward to meeting you and your little ones!
