I’ve been in my “big sister/built-in babysitter” era since I was a teenager, and honestly, I never left it. What started as watching kids for family and neighbors turned into something I truly love. I’ve handled everything from snack-time negotiations and bedtime routines to homework help and keeping little ones entertained without losing my sanity. Now as a substitute teacher, I bring that same energy into classrooms from pre-K all the way up to high school. One day I might be tying shoes and reading storybooks, and the next I’m managing a full classroom of teenagers and making sure everyone stays on track.
