Hello! My name is Aurora Crone, and I’m a senior at Kennebunk High School with a lifelong passion for working with children. In the fall, I’ll be attending Wheaton College in Massachusetts to begin my studies in Elementary Education—a journey I’m incredibly excited about. My goal is to one day become a certified elementary school teacher and help children grow through learning, creativity, and connection. Right now, I’m eager to continue working with children in a meaningful way through babysitting and part-time child care. I currently work at Biddeford Recreation’s Cub Care Program, an after-school program where I support and supervise children in a fun, structured, and safe environment. Beyond my current role, I have over four years of babysitting experience. Whether watching one child for a date night or juggling the energy of multiple siblings for a full afternoon, I always strive to create an atmosphere of warmth, structure, and fun. Some of the families I’ve worked with have trusted me for years, and I take that trust very seriously. I know how important it is to maintain consistency, follow your family’s routines and rules, and be a calm, positive presence that your child enjoys being around. I strongly believe that children thrive when they feel safe, seen, and supported. That means showing up with kindness, consistency, and a sense of fun—but also setting gentle boundaries and creating structure when it’s needed. I’m confident managing emotional ups and downs, helping with transitions (like bedtime or separating from parents), and handling those “little big feelings” with empathy and care.
