I've always loved children and watching them learn and grow. There is a special place in my heart for babies, the first year is my absolute favorite. I have been called the baby whisperer and have had the privilege of caring for several babies starting as soon as they came home from the hospital. I started babysitting my siblings when I was 9, then began watching neighborhood kids and received my first paycheck for working in a church nursery when I was 12. By 17, I was a live in nanny for a newborn for his entire first year. I started baby wearing with him and loved it. I took care of everything he needed for 8-12 hours a day and occasionally took on overnight duties so his parents could sleep. I have continued babysitting for friends and family throughout my life and have excellent recommendations. I have a sweet, loving 6yo son who is with me every other week, he gets along well with kids of all ages and loves animals. I love cooking, especially for other people. I'm great at taking ingredients from your kitchen and creating something delicious. My fried rice is always a hit, even with the pickiest eaters. I can do light house work, cleaning surfaces, wiping down tables and counters, sweeping, vacuuming, dishes and laundry depending on time.
