Working with children has been one of the most rewarding experiences for me because it combines my passion for teaching, learning, and maintaining active connections with groups of different ages, backgrounds and distinct personalities. Being an older sister has naturally shaped me into someone who is patient, responsible, and adaptable, and babysitting has allowed me to practice and expand those qualities even more. Over the past 2 years, I’ve had the opportunity to care for children in ways that are both fun and impactful, while creating a safe and engaging environment for them. I am currently in college and pursuing a minor track in sociology, which has helped me better understand communication, behavior, and the importance of creating inclusive and comfortable spaces. I’m also bilingual and fluent in both English and Spanish, and I value being able to connect with children and families comfortably through language.
