Yasmin J.

Yasmin joined our family when my son turned 6-7 months old and stayed with us until he turned 15 months old (as he was going to go to daycare shortly thereafter). She took such good care of him every day - from feeding him, changing, playing, prepping for naps, etc that very quickly she won over his and our hearts. She was very caring and attentive to his needs. Every morning he was looking forward to the time when Yasmin would come in to spend the day with him. She helped us tremendously through our journey - with teaching our son how to crawl, walk, eat solids, play, learn various tools how to communicate etc. And on top she made it fun for him! Hearing him giggling every day, knowing that he enjoyed his day, was more than I ever hoped for. In addition, Yasmin helped us a lot around the house, with prepping meals for my son, tidying up the kitchen, laundry, organizing my son's room and clothes. She is proactive, organized, punctual, professional, overall great work ethics!  We will miss you immensely! 

Yasmin joined our family to care for our son (3) and daughter (1) for 13 magical weeks June-August until our children's schools reopened. We had only had baby-sitters until that point, as our children had been in full time daycare. Yasmin blew us away with the care she gave to our children's health, wellness, and education. Under her proactive instruction, our daughter learned to walk and started vocalizing a great deal. She learned to nod "yes" and do some basic baby language signs so we could actually communicate with her. Our son learned to count past 20 (where he'd left off from school), and identify things that started with certain letters (e.g. "bike starts with B"). His manners greatly improved as he learned to be much more compliant with "please" and "thank you", and he learned from Yasmin to say "excuse me" before interrupting a conversation. We couldn't rave about Yasmin more, and cried when she left us as school came back into session. The kids miss her terribly and any family would be lucky to welcome her into theirs.

Yasmin helped us to care for our baby daughter and older son. She is really great and caring. She watched our baby girl closely and kept her engaged by playing with her, singing songs and reading. While the baby was sleeping, Yasmin proactively helped around our apartment. We were really impressed with her work ethic, punctuality and professionalism. She followed our instructions precisely and demonstrated initiative when she saw things that needed to get done. She also showed genuine kindness and gentleness towards our kids. We highly recommend Yasmin to anyone looking for a terrific babysitter and would absolutely love to work with her again when we are back to Manhattan!
