Hi! My name is Grace, and I’m currently a student at Midlands Technical College working toward a degree in Elementary Education. I have a genuine passion for working with children and helping them learn, grow, and build confidence. Because I hope to become an elementary school teacher, nannying is a wonderful opportunity for me to gain more hands-on experience while supporting families in my community. I’ve grown up surrounded by younger siblings, nieces, and nephews, and caring for them has helped me develop patience, creativity, and strong communication skills with kids of all ages. I have also helped with after-school care programs at the YMCA, where I enjoyed organizing activities, helping with homework, and keeping kids engaged in a fun and safe environment. In addition, I am a licensed esthetician and received First Aid certification during my training. I would describe myself as outgoing, responsible, and creative. I love planning fun activities like crafts, outdoor play, reading time, and educational games that help keep kids active and engaged. I’m also happy to help make life easier for busy families by assisting with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, grocery shopping, or transportation when needed. While I’m newer to paid childcare roles, I bring years of hands-on experience caring for children in my family and through community programs. I truly enjoy building meaningful connections with kids and being someone they feel comfortable, supported, and excited to spend time with.
