I am an energetic and fun nanny with over 6 years of childcare experience. I have worked as a teacher at both Gymboree and The Learning Experience, where I manages classrooms of up to 20 students ages 6mo-13 years. I have four years of experience as a summer camp program director! I’ve also worked as a nanny or babysitter for a number of different families, with up to 6 children. Children love me because: I’m a kid at heart! The whole reason I got into childcare is to be able to play at work. I love to be silly, play games, and be spontaneous (when appropriate!) I let the kids take charge as much as possible, because I know the importance of fostering independence. Plus, when you allow kids to make their own decisions 80% of the time, they’ll understand the 20% when that’s not an option. I’ve seen the difference it makes when you show a genuine interest in a child’s hobbies and will always make an effort to learn about what your child enjoys. Grown-ups love me because: I’m a positive role model and teach through my actions as well as my words. In other words, I practice what I preach. I am consistent and dependable. I know that reliability is important to you and your child, and always make the greatest effort to honor my commitments. Safety is my #1 priority. I’ve been trained to care for a child’s child physical, mental, and emotional well-being, and I know what to do if that is in any sort of jeopardy. I’m also a teacher at heart, but your kids won’t know it! I teach through play, so while your children are just playing and being themselves, you’ll be able to see them learn more each day.
