We're looking for a 1-on-1 aide to assist our 8 year old son Luke at Lobster Jo's Goleta Beach summer camp for 6 weeks. Luke is silly and imaginative, and loves the ocean. He also has autism with ADHD. He craves adult attention, wants to do things his own unique way, and transitions can be a challenge for him. The ideal aide will engage in his play and humor, be patient with him and give him time to cool off when he gets frustrated, and use tools like timers to help with transitions. This includes activities in the ocean, so he'll need a life vest (provided by camp) and you'll need swimwear.
