Part-Time Special Needs Caregiver for Young Adult (Angelman Syndrome) – La Mirada & Irvine, CA

- $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate part-time caregiver for our 22-year-old son with Angelman Syndrome. He is non-verbal and requires full assistance with daily living, including toileting and personal care. The caregiver will support a structured weekday routine and drive him to activities using their own car. Physical ability to assist a 180 lb adult is required.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, approximately 6–7 hours/day
Daily routine includes morning community outings, lunch, afternoon art/play activities, and early evening exercise (gym or walks).
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 supervision and care throughout the day
Assist with all activities of daily living, including toileting and hygiene
Transport to/from activities safely and on time
Support participation in community outings, art, play, and exercise
Follow and maintain a consistent daily routine
Qualifications:
Required: Experience with developmental disabilities/day programs
Required: Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, clean driving record
Required: Physically capable of assisting an adult
Preferred: CPR/First Aid certification
Patient, dependable, and compassionate
