We are seeking a part-time assistant for our daughter, who has high-functioning autism. The role is centered around companionship and support—primarily accompanying her to events and activities, and helping her enjoy the things she loves in a comfortable, positive way.
This is a fun, laid-back position, but it’s still important that the person in this role is dependable, professional, and attentive. Our daughter enjoys a wide range of activities, including going to the movies, spending time outdoors, shopping, and attending various events—many of which take place on Saturdays.
The position would be about 2–3 days per week. A reliable car is required, as you would be responsible for transportation to and from activities. We also ask that a schedule for the upcoming week is set each Sunday so everyone is on the same page.
We are really hoping to find someone who is interested in building a long-term working relationship and becoming a consistent, positive presence in her life.
