I am looking for a caregiver for my autistic son so I can have occasional personal time outside of respite services. It is very important that applicants have experience working with autistic children and understand autism-related needs, including communication differences, sensory sensitivities, transitions, and emotional regulation. This is not negotiable due to previous negative experiences with caregivers who did not have the appropriate knowledge or training. I am looking for someone who is patient, dependable, attentive, and willing to follow established routines and support strategies. My goal is to find a caregiver who can provide a safe, structured, and positive environment while respecting my child’s individual needs and strengths.
