We recently learned that my wife is very ill, and we are looking for a mother's helper for her and a companion to our wonderful 17 year old son who has Down Syndrome, while I work during the day. Job duties include:

* Transportation using our vehicle (must be over 21 with a valid CA DL)
* Formula preparation for our son (he's tube fed)
* Willingness to learn how to feed our son (it's super easy and he helps)
* Supervision of bathroom routine
* Supervise, interact and play games or read with our son
* Transport son to summer activities like day camp or play dates, and provide supervision at those events
* Ensuring our son gets on the school bus in the morning and retrieving him from the bus after school.
* Routine errands (grocery or pharmacy runs)
* Light cooking
* Light cleaning
* Light Laundry
* Loading/unloading the dishwasher
* Basic care for two (friendly) dogs (feeding them, letting them outside)

We are looking to hire someone as early as next week. Please be willing to undergo a background and DMV check (at our expense).
