We are seeking a trustworthy, compassionate and experienced caregiver to provide in-home care for my young granddaughter, who is on the autism spectrum.

The goal is to give mom some well-deserved breaks while ensuring my granddaughter is in a safe, nurturing, and understanding environment.

Requirements:
-direct experience with children on the autism spectrum (please share specific examples.)
-Understanding of sensory needs, communication differences, and behavior support strategies.
-Ability to follow routines and use positive reinforcement.
-Patience, reliability, and strong communication skills.
-Current background check (or willingness to obtain one)
-CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Details:
Who: Six year old girl
Location: San Jose
Schedule: Occasional shifts, usually 4-5 hours at a time, ideally every 2 weeks to start. Shifts to be on Saturday or Sunday (flexible)
Pay: $30 per hour
