We're seeking a warm, patient female Afternoon Helper on Thursday afternoons (3-6pm) to provide support and companionship to our young adult daughter with an intellectual disability in San Mateo. She is friendly, social, enjoys interacting with others and loves Zumba and the SF Giants.
The role involves meeting her at our home after her day program and spending the afternoon engaging in fun activities, assisting with daily routines, providing supportive care, and periodically taking her to appointments. Also will entail taking our 20lb dog on a walk. We need someone on Thursdays until the end of the year, with occasional evenings or weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
* Plan enjoyable activities like crafts, games, cooking, going to dog park, etc.
* Drive her to appointments as needed; must have a valid driver's license, own reliable vehicle with auto insurance, and be comfortable driving our daughter for appointments and outings as needed.
* Periodically help with light household tasks like meal prep, folding laundry, putting dishes away, walking our dog
* Provide patient, supportive interactions tailored to her needs and interests
* Be comfortable working with someone who appreciates routine and friendly interactions; experience with disabilities or occupational therapy is a plus.
