Experienced Family Support Person for Neurodivergent Children
Posted by Mallory B. on 5/18/2026
- $30.00 per hour
We are a warm, creative, inclusive family of five seeking an experienced family support person for our daughter, age 6, with ASD, ADHD, and PDA. She has two neurodivergent siblings, ages 9 and almost 12, who will also benefit from your presence over time.
The right person leads with connection over compliance, understands low-demand and autonomy-supportive approaches, and is ready to become part of our family. Our experience has taught us she thrives not with programs or protocols, but with people who truly know her. Some household support also needed, as both parents have disabilities affecting executive functioning.
We love theatre, sci-fi, fantasy, and video games. Loud, silly, dramatic, and never boring. Two small (~15lbs) dogs in the home.
Requirements: CPR/First Aid certified, valid driver's license, clean background check, and references. We are not looking for a traditional candidate — we want someone who finds deep meaning in showing up for kids who need it most.
