Seeking sitter for non-verbal teen girl with autism (and tween boy)

Hello! We are the loving parents of two kids - Kate, age 14 and Thomas, age 11.

Kate has autism and sensory processing disorder and is non-verbal. She is loving and usually fairly mellow and not at all violent or self-injurious. She enjoys watching animal and science videos on her iPad, listening to books, being taken on drives, and “chillaxing.” She needs help with most elements of self-care. She started experiencing seizures this year, so is on anti-seizure medication to prevent them and is stable.

Thomas is pretty self-sufficient and is neurotypical, though he needs help focusing sometimes. He loves taking care of his fish/fishtanks and WWII history and is a good singer and tennis player. He usually doesn’t require much from sitters.

We are looking for 3-6 hours of babysitting some evenings and weekends. Help preparing meals and cleaning up and first aid training are required. We’d love to find someone with whom we can have a long-term sitting relationship.
