Part Time Babysitting for 5 year old with Down Syndrome and perhaps 9 year old

Posted by Rebecca C. on 6/10/2026

  • $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

We are looking for an experienced, reliable babysitter for occasional daytime hours (typically 4–5 hours at a time, 1–2 days a week) so my husband (a stay-at-home dad) can get some time out while I am at work.

Our son is 5 years old and has Down Syndrome. He is sweet, high-energy, loves Mickey and loves to play and watch TV. He does not require medical intervention, but he requires constant, active supervision and is non-verbal.

Our 9-year-old does not require much and spends most of his time with friends. Later in the summer, he will be in camps that we will ensure he is taken to and from.

Perfect for a local special education teacher, therapy aide, or nursing student looking for summer hours. Must have experience with special needs and active supervision. Pay is $25/hour.
