We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate caregiver for our 8-year-old, who is autistic, non-verbal, and uses an AAC device to communicate. The position requires reliability, patience, and a genuine interest in working with children with special needs.

The weekly schedule includes afternoon/evening shifts:
Monday, Tuesday, Friday Schedule: 2:00 pm–4:00 pm (occasionally to 5:00pm with advance notice)
*Pick up from School with at 2:00pm-Bring home*

Wednesday, Thursday Schedule: 2:45pm-4:00pm (occasionally to 5pm with advance notice)
*Pick up from Therapy at 2:45pm- Bring home*

Occasional weekend support may be needed (with advance notice).

Responsibilities include:

Safe and reliable transportation from school and therapy sessions to home

Providing dinner or a snack (meals will be provided)

Occasional Light housekeeping (tidying up play area, dishes in dishwasher, etc.)

Engaging in light educational activities (letters, numbers, etc.)

Occasional Outdoor play and fun, interactive activities

Being open to learning and supporting use of his AAC device for communication

Requirements:

Having experience with Children on the spectrum

Reliable transportation and clean driving record

Non-smoker

Comfortable with children on the spectrum

Dependable, caring, and engaging personality

Schedule: ~10–15 hours per week
