We are seeking a dependable, compassionate individual to assist our 10-year-old son with special needs before school and occasionally on weekends. This is a great opportunity for someone pursuing a career in social work, education, occupational therapy, or a related field who is passionate about working with children with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Morning routine support, including:
• Working on SCL (Supported Community Living) goals
• Toileting assistance
• Meal preparation and assistance with feeding (G-tube experience preferred or willingness to learn)
• Medication administration
• Dressing and hygiene (brushing teeth, grooming)
• Providing a calm, structured, and supportive environment
• Occasional weekend respite care
Qualifications:
• Experience working with children with special needs (brain injury, autism, developmental delays, etc.)
• Comfortable with or willing to learn G-tube feeding and medication administration
• Reliable, patient, and nurturing
• Strong communication skills
• Background in or currently studying social work, education, therapy, or a related field preferred
• Must be 18+ and able to pass a background check
