Hello,

We are seeking to add a team-member or two to our daughter's care team. She has a rare syndrome that affects her in all aspects of life from learning, communicating, sleeping and self-care, She needs help with all aspects of daily living including dressing, eating, personal care.

Autism spectrum was the closest description, but she has Phelan-McDermid syndrome. She is beautiful inside and out; very sweet and happy to be in the community walking, shopping, horseback riding, and swimming. She likes music, videos and eating out. We self-direct her adult services so she can live as independently as possible and enjoy the things she likes.

She is nonverbal but understands a lot more than is obvious. She uses limited sign, proximity, and eye gaze AAC. She is very sweet and has no adverse behaviors, never aggressive. She is mobile and active but needs assistance with safety awareness.

This is a regular position but we would consider occasional care. We have weekday, weekend and evening shifts available. While related experience is preferred, we will train the right person. We can work with flexible schedules. If you think this may be a good match for you, contact us.
