We are looking for a sitter/nanny for after school help to assist our 17-year-old son with deafness & autism (and occasional seizures) for the core hours of 3:30-6:00. There is the potential for additional hours on nights and weekends. He is non-verbal communicating with an iPad. He has after school ABA services for a few days during the week. Therapy includes practice of daily living skills such as chores, hygiene, and other activities. This person would work alongside his ABA therapist. We would love someone with experience working with special needs children/adults in the past. We are looking for someone responsible to partner with us in our son’s care – someone who has amazing communication skills and is not afraid to ask questions! We would need someone with access to a car as the ABA therapist does community trips with him. He is a very loving kid, and we are looking for someone who is really interested in working with this population!
