About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and patient Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support a 25-year-old adult with moderate autism. The ideal candidate will help promote independence, maintain daily routines, and provide support at home and in the community.
Responsibilities
• Assist with daily living activities (meal prep, hygiene reminders, organization)
• Provide supervision and ensure safety
• Support community activities (shopping, outings, appointments)
• Help maintain structured routines and schedules
• Provide companionship and encourage social interaction
• Assist with transportation
• Support work routine and independence skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
• Patient, calm, and consistent personality
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow routines and care plans
• Valid driver’s license (preferred)
• Background check required
