My father has stage IV cancer and Parkinson’s and needs help with basic tasks. He can walk with assistance and uses the bathroom independently but needs an assistant to prepare meals, help remember to take pills, take him for short walks and errands, and help with daily tasks. He’s very kind. He has poor memory and will need help with planning, logistics, and basic tasks. My mom is a nurse and can manage is medications. She has been doing all the caretaking for about two years and we need additional support.
