Hello! We're an Apex family looking for an experienced, warm caregiver to support mom at home while dad travels for work.

The job: Monday Nov 9 – Thursday Nov 12, 3:30–6:30 PM each day (3 hours/day, 12 hours total). Mom will be home the entire time — this is a support role alongside her, not solo care. After November, occasional Fridays/weekends may follow.

About our child: Our 6-year-old son is on the autism spectrum. He is gentle and cuddly, non-verbal — he communicates with picture exchange and gestures and understands a few words — and he is not potty trained. He loves books, the swing, and being sung to.

Your role: engage him in play and activities, follow his established routines, help with snacks, keep him safe, support calm transitions, and give mom breathing room. He does best with a predictable routine and a few minutes' warning before transitions.

What we're looking for:
- 2+ years of paid experience with special-needs children; autism experience preferred, ABA/RBT background a strong plus
- Patient, flexible, unflappable style — you follow the child's lead and the family's routines
- References we may call (please have 2–3 ready)
- Willing to complete a Sittercity background check before starting
- CPR/First Aid preferred; non-smoker

Pay & process: $25/hour. Reliability is our #1 criterion — please apply only if you can commit to all four days. Before the job we'll do a short phone call, check references, and schedule a paid 1–2 hour trial visit (same rate) with mom present so everyone can meet.
