Our child has a history of delayed speech but currently communicates effectively using words and sentences to express her needs, wants, and ideas. She demonstrates strong comprehension skills, learns new concepts quickly, and has age-appropriate to advanced cognitive abilities. She is generally understood by familiar adults and continues to make progress in expressive language. Current areas of growth are focused primarily on attention, flexibility, and participation in non-preferred activities rather than communication of basic needs or understanding of language.
