We are seeking a dependable, caring, and hands-on Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Special Needs Caregiver to provide one-on-one support for a high-school-aged young man with significant physical disabilities. He uses a wheelchair and is nonverbal.

This is an active, hands-on position. Responsibilities include:
Personal care, hygiene, and bathing
Feeding assistance and hydration
Safe transfers and positioning
Daily stretching and ROM activities
Functional mobility and movement activities
Peanut-ball and tummy-time activities according to his established care/therapy instructions
Speech, vision, reading, and communication activities
Visual communication and choice-making
Recreation and community activities
Laundry and keeping his bedroom organized
Putting all clean clothes away
Wiping down the bathroom, feeding area, and common areas
Light household support when he is safely engaged or resting
Completing daily documentation
We follow a structured daily schedule with specific care, movement, communication, and daily-living activities. The caregiver is expected to remain actively engaged with him throughout the shift. This is not a position for someone who wants to sit on their phone or simply watch TV.
Required:
• Current First Aid & CPR certification
• NCI, GIR (Getting It Right), or a similar approved crisis/behavior-management training
• High school diploma/GED
• Reliable and dependable
• Comfortable providing hands-on personal care and physical assistance
• Willingness to complete required training and onboarding
Training: If you do not currently have NCI/GIR or an accepted equivalent, training can be provided as part of onboarding.
Pay: $16–$19 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
