Coverage is one long weekend about every 2 months (Thu afternoon-Mon evening), with occasional daytime hours and rare week-long needs. Shifts are generally 12 hours, possibly 8 if a third caregiver is available. Caregivers must stay awake, attentive, and available for the entire shift. Duties: prepare one simple meal plus snacks/drinks, provide minimal bathroom cleanup after BMs, keep electronics charged, maintain routine, and supervise. No outings are required. Strong de-escalation skills, flexibility, and attention to detail are essential. Cats and 24/7 security cameras are in the home. Must already work for, or be willing to onboard with, an NC Innovations respite agency. Agency pay is about $16/hr; I add $10/hr days/evenings and $15/hr overnight. Dates are provided at least one month ahead, and committed shifts must be honored.
