We are seeking an experienced parent’s helper for our 8-year-old son, Asher, after school. This is not traditional babysitting but supportive, hands-on help during a challenging time of day. A parent is usually home.
Asher has ADHD and Developmental Coordination Disorder. He is bright and loving but struggles with emotional regulation, transitions, frustration tolerance, and independence with routines after school.
Duties:
• School pick-up & afternoon activities
• Helping him decompress and regulate
• Supporting homework start, snack, and routines
• Calm structure and guidance through transitions
• When Asher is settled: light household organization and simple meal prep/cooking
Requirements:
• Experience with ADHD, regulation challenges, or special needs caregiving
• Patient, steady, confident demeanor
• Reliable transportation
Our goal is to help Asher build coping skills, independence, and confidence while bringing more calm to our afternoons.
