We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and hands-on caregiver for my mother, who is in her 70s. She experienced a major stroke that resulted in right-side paralysis and severe aphasia, so patience and comfort with limited verbal communication are essential.
Schedule:
Approximately 3–4 hours, once per week (for a regular “date night”)
Occasional overnight shifts may also be available
Responsibilities (Date Nights):
Assisting with personal care, including changing (incontinence care)
Preparing and giving her meal (she is able to feed herself with her left hand)
Providing companionship
Assisting with stand-and-pivot transfers (bed, wheelchair, recliner)
Additional Responsibilities (Overnight Shifts):
Medication administration
Additional Information:
Experience with stroke patients, mobility assistance, or communication challenges is preferred
Must be comfortable with dogs (we have pets in the home)
We are looking for someone kind, patient, and reliable who can help ensure my mother is safe and comfortable while giving our family peace of mind.
