Aisha is a 3 year, 10-month-old girl who demonstrates severe language delays in receptive and expressive language as well as pragmatics. Her expressive and
receptive language skills reveal around 30% delays respectively. Aisha has limited functional verbal/gestural communications skills. Aisha does not understand 1 step
commands that are not part of her routine. Aisha communicates utilizing gestures, eye gaze and vocalizations. Aisha explores toys and objects by putting them in her
mouth. Aisha does not yet imitate words or sounds modeled by the clinician. Aisha understands what questions but not yet how many, yes/no or other ‘wh’ questions.
