Childcare for autistic child—
My daughter and I are going through a transition which requires us to have a babysitter twice a week before we leave the city semi-permanently. Mondays and Tuesdays are the projected days required between the hours of 8-6 which will equate to around 20 hours per week. My daughter has level 2 autism and is nonverbal but knows a few hand lead gestures for her needs. She is friendly but needs constant supervision as she does not like to stay still (we are working on it). She has an ABA therapist that visits the home every day at 9:30am and a separate therapist who comes in around 3:30-4:30pm. We are hoping to find a seasoned and trustworthy babysitter that can be flexible on these two days as I leave to go to the office. It will be hard for me to manage but for now I’m only looking to find someone who can fill in these time slots for us.
Thank you!
