Special Needs Respite / Family Assistant Afternoons (3-7pm) in Forest Hills

  • $25.00 - $32.00 per hour

We are a warm, busy family seeking a reliable, upbeat, and capable caregiver to support our boys during weekday afternoons. This position is funded through a CommHab / respite program, so special needs experience is required.

3-4/5p: Care for our toddler (play, snack, supervision). 4/4:30p: Meet our autistic 13-year-old off the bus; support transition and snack.
4:30-6:30p: While ABA therapy is in session, assist with dinner prep, packing lunches, light tidying, dishes, and laundry.
When therapy cancels: Engage our teen in activities, walks, and daily living skills.

Additional duties include walking to a weekly music class, occasional grocery pickup, and activity drop-off/pick-up (car strongly preferred).

Ideal candidates have experience with special needs and toddlers, are dependable and physically capable. Payroll position with PTO.
