Seeking energetic, supportive staffer to provide companionship and travel support to an independent young autistic woman in the Larchmont, NY area.
- Assist the individual to promote their development, health, safety, community integration & personal care
- Provide companionship and mentorship in home and community settings
- Provide 1:1 assistance to enhance life skills, including social, educational, recreational & other activities
- Assist in identifying social and recreational community resources the individual may wish to access to increase skills and independence
- Provide transport to and from activities. (Public transit or family vehicle)
- Adhere to a work schedule based on the individual’s needs, alerting the family & agency concerning any changes in schedule
- Complete mandated agency and OPWDD training (paid), in-service workshops & re-certification training in a timely manner.
- Submit timesheets, mileage, expense reports, & service notes
