We are searching for backup care for our 5th grader (entering 6th next fall). He is autistic and struggles with attention and focus, with medium support needs. He is very verbose and can communicate, and mostly independent but needs redirection and help staying on track with things like homework, meals, executive functioning.

We are located in Maspeth (very close to Ridgewood/Middle Village)
Queens near several bus lines.

Duties - after school duties include: meeting the school bus, giving him snacks, helping with homework, taking him outside on nice days for a walk or to the park. Evening duties would include helping him get ready for bed, giving medication (vitamin/pill).

Requirements: Experience working with kids with special needs, familiarity with 5-7th grade curriculum enough to help with homework.
