Need help monitoring spouse recovering from a manic episode

My wife is having a short stay at a local psych ward. She has bipolar disorder. My worry is that she will be released too early, and I'm concerned about a relapse.
All job duties:
Mostly keep her company while I'm working or just provide another set of hands. This could just be sitting by her as she watches TV or does some activity.
Requirements: Someone who's patient, warm, empathetic, and knowledgeable about bipolar disorder. NAMI Training or Mental Health First Aid would be helpful.
