Summer Companion & Life Skills Aide for Autistic Teen (13M)
Posted by Tammra F. on 5/18/2026
- $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
I’m looking for a part-time summer companion for my 13-year-old son who is on the autism spectrum. He is well-behaved, sweet, and social — this is not a behavior management role. I simply want him to have an engaged, productive summer rather than spending all day on screens.
The focus would be everyday life skills and community outings, things like:
• Going to the grocery store and practicing shopping/money handling
• Learning basic household tasks
• Getting out of the house for walks, activities, and errands
• Light structured activities that keep his mind active
Ideal candidate has experience with autistic teens or young adults, a special education background, RBT training, or a psychology/counseling degree. Patience and a calm, consistent approach matter more than credentials.
This is a self-pay position. Part-time, flexible hours during summer (June–August). Days/times TBD based on mutual availability.
