- $20.00 per hour
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced part-time nanny to provide in-home care for our 4-year-old daughter with autism in Chesapeake, VA, approximately 16–20 hours per week.
Our daughter is a sweet, active child who thrives with patience, consistency, structure, and engaging activities. She is considered non-verbal and uses an AAC communication device. She has sensory needs, requires assistance with toileting/diaper changes, and benefits from support with transitions and daily routines.
We are specifically seeking someone with hands-on experience caring for children with autism or developmental disabilities. Experience as an RBT, ABA technician, special education professional, pediatric caregiver, or special needs nanny is strongly preferred.
The ideal candidate is attentive, nurturing, reliable, and knowledgeable about autism-related safety, including elopement prevention. Responsibilities include supervision, age-appropriate activities, meal/snack assistance, personal care, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment.
CPR/First Aid certification, excellent references, and willingness to complete a background check are required. We hope to establish a consistent, long-term relationship with a caregiver who genuinely enjoys working with children with special needs.
