I am seeking a compassionate and reliable caregiver for my 21-year-old daughter who has severe autism. She is non-verbal and requires supervision and basic personal care during evening hours.
Schedule:
Approximately 2–3 evenings per month
Hours: around 5:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Pay:
Starting at $20/hour, with potential for increase based on experience and reliability.
Responsibilities include:
Providing supervision and ensuring safety
Preparing simple food and drinks upon request
Administering oral medication
Assisting with changing briefs when needed
Remaining present with her during the evening
My daughter generally prefers to keep to herself and spends most of her time on her phone. She typically does not seek interaction, so the role mainly involves supervision and meeting her basic needs.
Important considerations:
She can occasionally display aggressive or self-injurious behaviors, though this is not frequent. Experience managing these situations is helpful.
Patience, calmness, and reliability are essential.
