We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and engaging Companion Caregiver to support an adult with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), including Down syndrome, who is currently receiving services through the DDS Family and Individual Supports Waiver and has allotted companion hours. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with special needs and will be responsible for providing meaningful companionship, promoting social engagement, and encouraging participation in recreational and community-based activities. This role is focused on creating a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment where the individual can enjoy activities, build confidence, and increase independence.

The position is based at the client’s home and in the community, with a schedule of Fridays from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturdays from 1:00 PM to 6:00 or 7:00 PM EST, with a start date as soon as possible.
