I have been employed with a non-profit organization that services adults with developmental disabilities for the last 7 years. I was promoted to a program manager where being organized, regimented and flexible are important. Recreational activities and doctors appointments take up most of my time but the satisfaction I feel at the end of the day is something a lot of people may never feel. I have become very compassionate about advocating for adults and children with special needs or learning styles. I am CPR and First Aid Certified. I am also medication certified in the state of CT. I enjoy teaching children the real things in life. Riding a bike, making a shelter under leaves in the fall, building a clubhouse out of a refrigerator box...maybe that was only me! Things that remind me of being a child is what I hope to instill in a younger generation.
