I've recently relocated to Delaware after spending the last decade working as a counselor for abused and neglected children in reunification and stabilization cases for DCFS and as a foster care case manager and CPS Prevention worker. My work as a counselor was home based so I typically spent 60-70 hours a week working with kids with a strong emphasis on therapeutic/learning toys and games. We did lots of reading, coloring, crafts, and games in learning to recover from trauma. I have significant experience with children with emotional and behavioral issues and diagnoses like ADD/ADHD, developmental disabilities, PTSD and other issues. I've also worked as a nanny, I can bake a wicked cookie, insist on leaving the house clean, and have all the best apps (Toca Boca is a life saver for the under 8 crowd). My nephew has declared me hopeless at Minecraft and Skylanders but I'm a great Read more audience. I'm pet friendly with a 98 lb lab of my own. I'm currently looking for full time work as a counselor but I'm available for evenings, weekends and holidays and I don't mind late night date nights. I've had yearly FBI, central registry, background checks and drug screens since 2006 for work and one ticket while driving in 30 years (speeding on a CPS emergency).
