I am currently working at a daycare for the YMCA and could not love my job more. I handle 30+ children on a daily basis providing basic care and attention. I love spending time with the children in my daycare and getting to know them. They are all so different and I find it interesting to hear about their lives outside of daycare. On any given day, I provide healthy snacks for each child and give them opportunities to increase their knowledge and complete schoolwork. I also allow them to exercise outside and in a gymnasium. When a child has a problem, they can feel comfortable in telling me exactly what ia going on. I resolve problems as best as I see fit and treat each kid fairly. However, my job does not continue throughout the summer and I would love to work with kids all year round!
