I ran 43 daycares for 16 years on the East Coast and was a nanny both in Maryland and in California after the selling of the daycares. I have also taught swimming, art, and dance to young children. I developed the curriculum for the daycares and trained the teaching staff. I have worked with thousands of children over a long career and still receive Christmas cards for children that are now in high school and college. I have over 2000 hours of Early childhood education and am a member of multiple teaching websites and stay up to date on current changes and teaching methods. I have been certified in CPR and first aid for years and have used it successfully in an emergency situation. I completed a class in CPR and First aid in May 2020 at the College of San Mateo and have been certified for many years. I am up to date on current trends such as Baby-led weening and other new techniques. I maintain a log so that the parents know what is happening with their young children. The log includes food and milk intake, diaper activity, nap length, and any observations that need to be passed on. I also take children to parks and pools or other activities. I am vaccinated and Covid careful. I also have multiple references from my past nanny positions. I have a pre-school and art program that I have developed and use currently. I enjoy working with children and building their confidence using music and art. I like to include active learning exercises that keep the children engaged. Singing is a constant part of my day-to-day interaction with the children I care for. I have 5 large Rubbermaid containers filled with games, art supplies, pre-school lessons and a storyboard with many different stories. All geared to develop confidence and build their learning capabilities. My rate is based not only on the market rate but hours and needs. When you hire me you are getting a professional that also becomes part of the family. I am currently looking for a position that is no less than 20 hours and no more than 40 hours a week. If you would like to hire me but don't have a total of 32 hours I am open to a salary amount that pays at the 32-hour rate when under the needed hours. I request five days of paid sick leave, two weeks of paid vacation the first year. Guaranteed salary based on the minimum hours. If this is something that you agree with I look forward to hearing from you.

JoElla was awesome! She took great care of our 6mo baby girl before she went to daycare. She is very detail-oriented, caring, responsible, and communicative. She helped my daughter stay on the age-appropriate schedule, got her used to bottle feeding, and helped her developmentally through various playtime activities. My daughter used to only take crap naps but with Jo she started taking longer naps! We were amazed. We look forward to working with Jo again in the future!

Adriana’s Bio I am a former preschool teacher with 20 years of experience working with children. I have worked as a nanny/babysitter as well. I am a fun, loving person and offer more than the typical babysitter as I focus on supporting the overall development of children I work with. My experience ranges from newborn to middle school age, including children with special needs, as I hold a certificate of specialization in special needs education and have several years of experience working with diverse abilities. I have two children of my own; a 23 year old son and a 27 year old daughter, who graduated from Stanford with a Master’s degree. I am a native Spanish speaker, CPR certified, with perfect driving record, and registered with Trustline as an added level of trustworthiness. No house cleaning/cooking services offered. I don’t take care of sick children.

Adriana provided night care for our second child immediately following our return from the hospital. Throughout her time with us, she is very punctual, caring, and highly attentive to hygiene, wearing a mask while working with our newborn. She was very helpful on days when our baby experienced gassy periods, using effective techniques to ensure she was relieved and comfortable. Adriana is also very flexible and willing to adjust her start and end times to accommodate our needs. Adriana offered a calm and dependable presence that really helped us get a much needed break in the night so we are ready to handle our kids the next day. We highly recommend her!

Hello everyone, I am an army veteran and a mother to a 7 month old baby. I have spent the last five years in Germany and now find myself here in California where my husband calls home. I do not smoke, drink, or do drugs of any sort. Any position I take, must allow me to bring my baby with me. I understand this is not everyone's ideal situation, but for those willing to take a chance on this dynamic, I promise you I am bringing both the love and care of someone who is a mother herself, and the affordability of someone who understands how expensive childcare is. I searched myself for daycare and realized it is far too unaffordable to most families. If you have any concern that I will place my child above your own, I can promise you that is not the case, if anything being a mother makes me capable of protecting and caring for your child as if he or she were my own. I am very honest and friendly. I have tons of imaginative games as ideas for your children and me to play. I love going to the playground and can find the best ways to entertain your little ones without relying too much on screens. If you are looking for a competitive rate for a babysitter in this area and also want someone who knows the trenches of motherhood, I am your babysitter.

Anna was a big help when my wife and I went back to work after our parental leave. The daycare on base had a ridiculous wait-list and Anna was very flexible with her hours, making it possible for us to get to PT early in the morning.

I have many years of experience babysitting various age groups and I have taught science summer programs to ages 5-18. I also have a daughter, graduated from college. I raised my daughter to be involved in extra curricular activities, e.g., photography, sports, tutoring and play dates. So, I understand the challenges of a work life balance. I believe I can provide a caring, creative, educational environment that helps children thrive and become the best people they can be. I currently hold a BS in Biology and studied Masters in Forensic Science. I work in the field of compliance, and I would like to fund my Compliance exam that’s why I’m seeking additional employment. I will do my best to create a nurturing and engaging environment for your child. My Spanish and Portuguese speaking skills are a little rusty, but I may be able to assist with basic Spanish homework. I provide receipts for childcare reimbursement/ taxes. I prefer that we discuss that in advance to make it easier on tracking. My standard childcare rate is $30 per hour * This includes childcare, entertainment or homework supervision, following basic daily routines, standard meal prep and cleaning any “mess” we make as a result of babysitting. For sitting locations over 8 miles from my home there is a $10 on time travel cost, per session. *Additional services can range for up to $40 per hour. Rates beyond $30 account for additional services and requests, e.g., household chores, tutoring, extensive services required for disabilities and pet care. ** I am respectful of allergy concerns, please be aware that I consume peanut products and I own a dog.** I have served as a “Course Life Assistant” to college students on ecosystem and field study trips in Central America. In this capacity, I was responsible for offering basic first aid and CPR, if needed. Although I have been CPR certified. I have driven kids to school and sports via Zum and Hopskip drive (driving kids apps).

Patricia cares for our 9 month old baby. She is responsible, responsive, and has a natural, calm demeanor that puts everyone at ease. Her communication is exceptional. She proactively checks in with thoughtful questions about how to approach new situations with our baby, which not only gives us peace of mind but also allows us to feel included and articulate my care preferences. She is always receptive to our feedback. We find Patricia to be very respectful of our parenting choices. She fully supports and values our decision to breastfeed, creating an environment where I can feed comfortably when I am present. She maintains a calm and alert presence, which is invaluable. We have observed her incredible patience during feedings, which is so important as our baby explores new food. Patricia keeps our baby engaged with age and energy-appropriate activities that are fun and stimulating. She understands that a baby's schedule can change unpredictably and adapts with grace and flexibility. When I am home, Patricia always allows me to step in and care for our baby, whether it's for snuggles, a feeding, or just play. She seamlessly adjusts to my presence. She consistently cleans up after chores and maintains the tidiness of the play areas. Patricia has been a calming and capable presence in our home.

Aggie was wonderful with our kids age 3 and 5. She managed to get them to learn letters in a very playful manner. Our kids loved her! She paid them a lot of attention, and has a great way to not just leave them on the side but interact with them. This is really quite amazing.

Hello! My name is Wuendi. I’m 24 years old and currently work as a bilingual instructional associate at Sequoia High School from 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM. I recently moved from Sunnyvale to Redwood City and am looking for an additional job in the area. In the afternoons, I care for a 3-year-old, but I’d prefer something closer to home. I graduated from UCSC with a bachelor's in sociology and am working hard to save money to return to school for my master’s in school counseling in a year or two. I have six years of experience working with children and can provide contact information for three families I've worked with, including one for five years. Thank you!
