Hello! My name is Greta and I in my third year of school at University of Cincinnati, majoring in neuroscience with the tentative goal to become a pediatric doctor. Outside of school I like to paint, draw, and sculpt, and I run a very small business selling clay pieces (it's very new and definitely still experimental, but fun!). I have a reliable car and am willing to commute and transport children whenever necessary. Through the years I have worked for families with dogs, cats, lizards, Guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, snakes, hermit crabs, turtles, birds, and fish. I have two cats back home in Cleveland and one little kitten who lives with me here in Cincinnati :) I grew up going to a Montessori school, so my mindset when working with children is to facilitate learning and independence in every possible situation. Communication is key both between parents and caregivers in a professional sense, and between caregivers and children in the sense that we are all able to express feelings, needs, and reasoning through words. I also grew up in a no-screens during the week household so I know how to come up with creative activities to entertain kids outside of a tv or tablet! I do enjoy the occasional movie night or video game sesh too :) My favorite part about working with children is watching them make connections. I have found that being with children gives me a new perspective on seemingly mundane aspects of life, and I thoroughly enjoy watching and helping them learn and grow. Hello, my name is Summer and I am currently a junior at the University of Cincinnati, studying early childhood education in hopes to be an elementary school teacher.
